When the darkness threatens to settle in, throw a laugh in the face of it.
Each mistake is a lesson waiting to be absorbed and each failure a plan to file away as a future success.
That light at the end of the tunnel is not the end of the journey. It’s the beginning of the next one.
A feeling from the pit of the stomach
Launches into the stream of consciousness
Moving from maybe into how can it not be
Reaching for love and settling for the latest feel good
Knowing this could be the one that breaks you down further
How did I drop this far?
When he broke up with me, did I break up with me too?
No, it goes further than that. I was drifting in a non-space
Somewhere between here and now
Between want, need, demand, settle
Funny how I used to be afraid of the dark
And now it seems so inviting….
Instead of saying you can’t, believe you will.
Start your day resolved to be good; and if you do it right, you won’t be satisfied until it’s great and touches those around you.
Just as we shower our bodies to be clean, so should we shower our minds with positivity to clean all the doubts that relentlessly keep us in the dark.
Our internal dialogue is a magic wand. It can turn our thoughts into self-fulfilling prophecies; but it is up to us as to how that magic manifests its strength.
We always seem to use “the new day is a new beginning” as an excuse to not give all we have to the day we’ve in. Let’s use the present day as a springboard to a better new beginning.
I’m in consistent and active competition with myself. Every second to make sure what I think counts in the next minute, the next minute to count towards my imprint on those I meet, the next hour to show myself that my presence will make a difference to the present and coming days, the next day to keep showing my growth for years to come.
