There was once a time when I would have given anything to have love
To be part of a couple, the half to my destined whole being everything I needed
But how can one put a price on something so vast?
How can one asked one person to be so much?
Then with age and life lessons, I realized that the love I wanted had to start with me
And that I’m not broken, waiting to be put back together
I’m just a traveler in this life gathering collections to make into my life’s work
Be that love, recognition, wealth, contentment, or adventure
I realized that some things were never meant to be gained
And that other things were never meant to be kept forever
That everything has its time
And that while some things in this life are truly costless
There are even better things that are priceless.
